I ordered the brisket benny, thinking it would be more tender than the rib meat had been. More than two years later, we decided to give it another shot, since it seems to have pretty good reviews. I wanted to bring my family back for a try since I loved the atmosphere. went was with my book club and was highly recommended the Benedict with the rib meat, which I remember being pretty fatty for me. The restrooms are beautiful! The first time I. The decor is fabulous with the bar room being nice and dark with a cozy fireplace. I really really want to like this restaurant, but the last two times I have been there have been so disappointing. PS they were NOT busy either-so it wasn’t like I was asking for anything special during a dinner rush or an insanely busy day like mother’s day or Valentine’s Day. I am disgusted…and I know I have a large platform on here (Facebook-original place I posted) and this could be seen as unprofessional-again with 22 years in HOSPITALITY (aka food and beverage) and for one of the “nicest” restaurants to treat me like I was just treated is absurd. …to say that they and myself felt Unwelcome and uncomfortable is an understatement. When I first went to Finns in 2019–the Chef actually came to the table to be clear on what my dietary needs were and my food was prepared in an entirely gluten free part of the kitchen-which is why I recommended the place to friends who wanted to eat somewhere new for them tonight. It’s 2022–I can go to a Mexican restaurant for 1/3 the price and they have gluten free items notated on the menu.…. I’m so sorry it was such a “bother” for you and your uneducated waitstaff. Gluten free is NOT a choice for me-it’s an allergy. My 22 years in food and beverage including FINE dining rather than “semi-fine” dining. I ask because it is NOT what it once was and I would like to make some suggestions because after this experience I will NEVER be back.
